Studio policies

BÜK Studios, Salon & Spa Policies

ARRIVAL:
We ask that you arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.
We understand that sometimes extraordinary circumstances are unavoidable and you may need to change your schedule. We kindly ask that you give us 48 hours notice if you cancel your appointment. If 48 hours notice is not given, you will be charged $25 if your scheduled service session exceeds $50, or half of the projected total of service if service session is under $50.
CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING, & NO-SHOWS:
Cancellations and “no shows” leave gaps in our schedules that cannot be filled without timely notice. A 48 hour notification courtesy enables us to schedule another client and, in turn, maintains a higher availability of services for you as well as others.
Due to scheduling commitments to other clients’ schedules, we may need to reschedule any appointment for which you are more than 15 minutes late.
Wedding Services Contract states that deposits are nonrefundable. Cancellation and rescheduling policies are the same for the wedding services as listed within the time frames above, per appointment scheduled.
We hope you understand the need for these policies. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
CONSULTATION FORMS AND WAIVER POLICIES:
If you have chosen to receive a salon chemical service with BÜK STUDIOS: THE COUTURE SALON, we ask that you understand the following. We pride ourselves on our high level of skill and our long lasting relationships with our guests. Here are some tips that can make your service results more successful:
1) Chemical services can have varying results based on your individual hair.
2) It is extremely important that you make your professional stylist aware of any and all other processes you have used on your hair.
3) Your clothes may be exposed to the chemicals and products despite our best efforts to protect them. If you would prefer, you can dress down into a smock to avoid this risk.
4) There is a risk of your jewelry (earrings and necklaces) being damaged or lost during your service. We recommend you remove them before your service.
5) Please feel comfortable contacting us at anytime after your service if you have any questions or concerns. We guarantee our work within a week, seven (7) days of service. All services are nonrefundable.
6.) This Chemical Waiver is in regards to any and all sessions that will occur within any salon locations with the professional salon stylist of BÜK STUDIOS: THE COUTURE SALON from signed date forward. 
SALON LIABILITY WAIVER POLICY:
By scheduling and receiving a salon service within the studio, you are made aware of the following. You are choosing to receive chemical services. You have made the stylist aware of all of the processes you have used on your hair in all recent months to assist in their assessment of your hair's current status and the process that you need to achieve my desired results. You realize that this is very important information and that any information you withhold regarding your previous processes will increase your chances of damage and the potential for unpredictable chemical reactions. Chemical processes may cause some damage to the integrity of your hair. There are products recommended to improve the health of your hair as well as maintain the results after the service. You are aware that the stylist has been trained in updated and trending service techniques and that they will do their absolute best to create the best results and therefore you will not hold liable BÜK STUDIOS: THE COUTURE SALON, and/or the salon locations where services have been and/or will be received, if the process has unexpected or undesired results. You understand that the service work is guaranteed within the week, seven (7) days of service, and will contact BÜK STUDIOS: THE COUTURE SALON if any corrections need to be made.
STUDIO RETURN POLICY:
The staff at BÜK STUDIOS & Co., pride themselves on providing you with exceptional service and quality customer care. Our studio photographers work skillfully and are very detailed in their work. All of our salon stylists are professional, educated, and experienced and will provide you with the best hair care service possible. Menu prices listed in the Complete Service Menu at the front desk are base prices.   For salon services, prices may vary from the listed price based on the service(s) you receive, as well as the length of your hair. Your salon stylist will inform you of the price before she/he begins your service, or throughout your service if services are added. Payment for salon services is expected to be paid at the time of service.
Consultations for all hair services are offered free of charge and are highly recommended for first time clients and for chemical services. During the consultation, should there be any previous over-processing due to prior chemical services, heat damage, or any other issues with your hair that may affect the outcome of your hair service, you will be made aware before your service is started.
We do not issue refunds on salon services. However, should you have any questions or concerns about the service you have received in the salon, please notify a salon coordinator within seven days of your service. If you are not satisfied with the work performed, we require that you return to the salon so that your hair can be visually inspected. At that time, we will make every effort to correct any problems to your satisfaction by rescheduling you with the stylist who performed the initial service, adjustments are made available to you at no cost only with in the two weeks of the initial service.
SALON PRODUCTS:
If you find you are unhappy with a product purchase, please return it within 7 days after sale date and we will be happy to offer an exchange. All returned products must be in their original, unopened and unused condition. Also note that we are unable to offer refund, replacement or exchange on any opened or used goods. For any products, we recommend following the manufacturer's instructions for best usage.
POLICIES ON SECURED EVENTS:
A nonrefundable deposit for half of the projected total price is due to secure the date. Deposits made are nonrefundable. Trial Date Services are a separate price, but the same price as the bundle package. Completed services are nonrefundable. Service types and amounts may not be altered after 30 days from the Secured Date.  Additional services requested on the day of that are not written in the Bundle Packages might not be able to be guaranteed and must be paid prior to service being completed if to be completed. If a stylist/artist/talent requested is no longer available (sick, injured, etc.), we reserve the right to make adjustments necessary to arrange for another stylist/artist/talent to perform said services. We also reserve the right to adjust services times based on number of stylists, travel, etc.**
FURTHER POLICIES ON NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSITS FOR EVENT SERVICES:
We take pride as an inclusive studio in ensuring fairness to all of our clients and guest and in not treating anyone more favorable than another client or guest. To ensure the success of preparing for special event services for our clients, we require a nonrefundable deposit to secure the date and services of the agreed upon services. Once the nonrefundable deposit is secured, we are able confirm and lock-in stylists/artists/talent for the services requested for the specific date secured. In addition, our stylists/artists/talent are secured through a confirmation agreement for the secured date, as (after we have received the nonrefundable deposit and secured the date) the stylists have to turn-down other events and opportunities to ensure the date is secured to whomever secured their deposit first. Policies for nonrefundable deposits and refund policies can be seen on both our websites of www.bukstudios.com and www.bukweddings.com, our confirmation emails, our service event contracts, and verbalized in-person at the time of securing the event services. All clients of secured events receive all notifications for these policies throughout the time of securing their event services and date.
SALON SERVICES, EVENT SERVICES, & GIFT CARDS:
Our intent is for each customer to be 100% satisfied with our services. Refunds are limited to the following situations:
• Services, opened products, and retail items received cannot be refunded. Nonrefundable deposits for event services are nonrefundable and cannot be refunded.​
• No refunds are given for gift card orders.
• Unopened products can be refunded only with a purchasing receipt.
• Gift certificate orders are not exchangeable.
PAYMENT TYPES:
We gladly accept Cash, Visa, and MasterCard. We do not accept personal checks. Gratuity may be added to your credit card transaction and/or cash transaction and is not automatically added.

CURRENT STATE MANDATE RULES AND RESTRICTIONS:
We believe in maintaining a safe, friendly, and healthy environment to all. To do so, we have aligned ourselves with Michigan's current list of mandates given to us through Michigan's Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
INCREASED RULES:
All of our stylists are fully licensed and have completed their course safety training program in Barbicide's COVID-19 Certification and in their infection control practices. All staff must fill out an individual MI Symptoms Report prior to entering onto the premise.  At this time, we are also maintaining a strict appointment-only procedures by keeping our door locked, unless for scheduled guests/appointments. We are maintaining social distancing by keeping clients at least 6 feet apart while receiving services. We make sure to disinfect high-contact surfaces after each use and place hand sanitizer in high contact locations and clean chairs and equipment before/after each use . We clean merchandise before stocking. We have discontinue all self-service refreshments at this time, but still continue to offer complimentary bottled water upon request.
SANITIZATION/DISINFECTION RULES FOR STAFF/STYLISTS:
We require stylists and staff to stay home if symptomatic of illness. We require regular handwashing by workers and have hand sanitizer available to them in high contact areas. We regularly clean high-touch items after each use (e.g. carts, baskets, door knobs, light switches, etc.) and wear gloves and dispose of gloves in between tasks in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) glove removal guidance. Items that cannot be sterilized and are for single use only are disposed of, as we have always done before. We make sure to keep the work surface free of all items except those items being used for the specific client.  We maintain strict, accurate appointment times and walk-in records including date and time of service, name of client, and contact information to assist in contact tracing. Our licensed estheticians and cosmetologists who provide facials and other skin care services do so in a manner that is permissible and consistent under statute, while also ensuring that proper sanitation practices are adhered to. During services that require a customer to remove their face covering, our workers must wear a shield or goggles in addition to a face covering. Our licensed manicurists and cosmetologists who provide manicuring services do so in a manner that is permissible and consistent under statute, while also ensuring that proper sanitation practices are adhered to. Our licensed natural hair culturists and cosmetologists who provide natural hair cultivation services do so in a manner that is permissible and consistent under statute, while also ensuring that proper sanitation practices are adhered to.
